...of At the Well-The Heart of Titus 2

Today is the grand opening of, "At the Well." Here are the questions for today's discussion:

When you read the Scripture found in Titus 2: 2-5, how do you see this playing out in your own life?

I don't see it playing out. Applying these things are hard for me because when I try, with the knowledge I have, it seems that I fail or could have done better.

What are your areas of strength? Of weakness?

My area of strength is that I know I have work to do and that I am open to being mentored. The area of weakness is giving up when I do not meet the expectations, based on other women's progress, that I have set for myself.

If you could set some sort of goal in relation to this Scripture, what would it be?

Living out the expectations God has set for me, thereby, providing my daughters with a proper example to fashion themselves after.

  1. Oftentimes it is hard to see ourselves fulfilling this daunting list of Titus 2 character traits. It seems as though you are already walking down that road as your heart is open to being mentored by women that have journeyed a bit ahead of you.

Being open to what the Lord has to show you and teach you is the first step in becoming a Woman after God's own heart!

I am SO glad you have joined us At the Well and looking forward to getting to know you more as we journey down this road towards the pursuit of Titus 2!

  4. oh wow!
Expectations are killers, aren't they? And so is comparing ourselves to others. Knowing we have work to do (and we ALL do!!) is part of the battle.

(I haven't forgotten the respect post--I've just been trying to meet a deadline, which is this Sunday...it is still on the docket!)

  7. I want to encourage you to not give up in mentoring or being a Mentee....Allow God to bring the right women into your path, HIS WOMEN.

I did it ahead of Him and it just fell flat; when I allowed Him to do the picking, oh Friend, it has been beautiful and much needed.

    Lovingly,
    Yolanda
