…because the person pushing the cart was dressed in a nuclear suit! The Nuclear med doctor backed out of the room as the person and cart came further in. Through my sobbing, I said, “What are they going to do to me?” This question had actually been directed to God, but Dr. “Nuclear Med” peeked only a bit of her head back inside and answered, “It’s all just precautionary.” I’d gotten tired of all their precautionary measures that they had not counseled me about. It’s just not normal to casually explain to someone, (mainly me!), that radiation will be put into their body as if it’s no big deal but then put them, (me), into a “bubble room” without explaining before hand, (did I indicate that already?), only to further affront me by sending Homer Simpson’s co-worker into my, “They can’t be serious” world… again, WITHOUT WARNING! (Sorry, did I verbalize that again?)
Anyway, you darn right I cried!
Scared, angry and defeated.
If this is what it takes to build this “temple,” I’m done…
“…’Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a temple as a sanctuary. Be strong and do the work.’ Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its upper parts, its inner rooms and the place of atonement…David also said to Solomon his son, ‘Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished’…” 1 Chronicles 28:1-20 NIV
…until I thought about Anton, our children, my mother, and my Christian Brothers & Sisters. They were all doing their part in the building of this “temple,” praying with & for me, spiritually & physically feeding us, some even cried with me- and I couldn’t let them down…
“The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing man skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command.” 1 Chronicles 28:21 NIV
