A few months back, I woke up and said my two oldest kid's pillows on my bed. Yes, their heads were attached to those pillows. I thought maybe my husband and I should just give them our room and sleep in theirs.
Hubby says, "There will come a time when they won't want to sleep in our bed anymore. So I'm gonna enjoy it now." I on the other hand, worry about the "crowded" space and not being able to sleep in the comfort of my, "before the fall garb." We have a king-sized bed and I am worried about not having enough room!
This brought John 14:2 to mind, In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. NIV Jesus mentions nothing about having to make room, being concerned of crowding or not being comfortable. Jesus' saying, "many rooms," indicates, to me, that comfort is not an issue. There is plenty of room, and why, because He wants me there.
Oh, but I have to point out that Jesus said that the many rooms are in His Father's house, not in Jesus' bed! :)

Amen! Can't wait to see His House!
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree with your husband....I am cherishing the snuggle time. My sweet 12 yr old doesn't come in any more!
Blessings!
I left you an award, come on over! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things about which I say, "There will come a day when they won't want to..." Trying to cherish each moment.
ReplyDeleteOK, let's be honest. Some of the "moments" I am happy to let go. But I know I need to cherish these days and not wish them away.
Our girls are not sleeping in our bed anymore. Somtimes i miss it, specially the youngest one. But she don`t wont to.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day
