...of a corked bottle

‘Creativity is dealt with just as a slave is. Her “master” acts if he doesn’t know that she can do more. ‘Creativity is full of potential, but, mas’sa’s ignorance has him thinking that he only needs her as a field hand; sadly, he’ll never know.

“Give me my papers PLEEEASE! Turn me loose!”

She doesn’t want to follow the North Star or decipher the patterned quilts; “Full freedom don’t come that way neither,” she reckons. Potential, at its’ fullest, still won’t shine. Instead of his slave, ’Creativity will then be a slave of fear.

“Don’t whip me no mo’ mas’sa, please!”

‘Creativity is not allowed to do all that she can. When she doesn’t perform, a “whipping” is administered. The whippings do not encourage; they just strip desire away & interest is lost.

“Let me in the house, I can do good there too!”

In fact, her “master” would be impressed. Creativity doesn’t mind working the field, she just longs for her “master” know that she has more to offer. See ALL that she can do, and allow her to use those gifts; not only you, but also, someone else may be blessed. Her hands bleed, her skin feels as leather and her body is drained from the sun’s exposure; she is fatigued and aches in her back.

“There’s a lot in me, that be after gettin' out! How mas’sa, how am I ‘pose to make it stop? I gots talents and I gots ideas all canned up.”

When she opens the can, her “master” or one of his hired hands puts it back and says, “Stay in yo’ place gal! This here ain’t yo’ business. Now gone on back to tendin’ that field, ya’ hear!”

So, she goes, but not before bottling pieces of her and sealing it with a cork, praying that pressure does not climax, resulting in, “The Popping, of ‘Creative’s Cork.”

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24 NIV
