“Session 2”

Walking in the rain last week was not only fun for my kids, but it served as a spiritual lesson for me as well. As stated before in “God’s Umbrella,” I tried to stay away from the rain until I realized that God was going to shelter me from the rain and not let me become “soaked.”

I was so glad that this time, my first reaction was to pray and keep on going. This time it felt good not to look around for others’ reaction. I was focused on my ability to continue my walk in the faith of knowing that we would make it around the block without running or fear of being about four pounds heavier due to dripping wet clothes.

It was just my kids and I outside this time as well. I learned that this “walk"

"Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget HIs deeds..." Psalm 78:7 NIV

  1. My kids LOVED playing in the rain. They especially loved it if we had a spot without grass that would get muddy and they could roll around in. It stained some clothes beyond repair, but it allowed for some frollicking fun times, too.

  2. I love it when God takes the "natural" and turns it into a spiritual lesson.
    He doesn't waste anything!
