Okay, why did my six-years-old daughter just say to me, "Mommy, did they have finger nail polish back then?" (speaking of my childhood)

A little offended, but calmly, I responded, "Yes." I then waited for her to say something else but she just walked away.

What made her say such a thing? I really wanted to respond, "Look lil' girl, I ain't but 31! What do you mean back then!"
