...of what was hidden

…hiding our thorns that we tried to ignore. Teenage promiscuity, sexual abuse, and low self-esteem are a few of the thorns that I wanted to hide. How could I have thought that I wouldn’t be confronted by the things of my past? By far am I using these things as a crutch, but I should have known better. Why did I try to pretend that my rose was without thorns by placing them in a vase?

  1. Blessings and prayers,

  2. Especially since thorns are a part of the rose. The things we've done are a part of who we are and who Jesus died and rose again to save! Woot for that!
Good stuff, Larie. :-) (not saying thorns are good, just that they are)

  3. Great post! The thorns are what make the rose and us as individuals!
I just found your blog and love it! I'm now a follower!

Y'all's comments are overwhelmingly encouraging. I appreciate them very much. They motivate me to continue being myself. Smooches!
